Marty Dunham served as
Facilities Director for
Grand Traverse County, Traverse City Country Club and
Integrator for Adventure North.
After caring for 60+ facilities two thoughts emerged:
1.) Times are changing and we need different FM thinking.
2.) Fix-on-failure doesn’t have to be "normal".
Fractional Facilities Management is his answer.
It's common knowledge the building trades has a staff shortage from a prolonged emphasis on higher education.
FM is the same way. More effective/less staff is the new normal.
FFM spreads the institutional knowledge in a win-win way.
A tangible example:
100% custom stair treads finished with a non-slip surface.
It took planning, design, a fabricator, paint and installation. Multiple disciplines coordinated by one entity.
We are solutions oriented.
The first priority is an assessment. With that we determine the state of your Facility now. We may look at record keeping. Or current SOP’s. Is there a Capital Improvement Plan with an accepted budget and projections? Once we understand the state of the facility, staff, routines and financial conditions, we can formulate and implement a plan for incremental improvements and maintenance.
Work may be a four letter word, but life's too short to think like that.
We're good people doing good work for good people.
Sometimes that's figuring out how to grab a pair of 100" TV's!
